Defense of Innovation Fund

About

About the fund

Get small equipment to Israeli units at the speed a civilian takes for granted.

Origin

Where it started

The fund grew out of time spent around Israeli units of many kinds. One pattern kept repeating: work stalled on a ₪900 part, a specific tool, a camera sensor or printer the requisition system would deliver months from now.

This fund was set up to close that specific gap. It is not trying to re-equip an army and it is not a general war-effort charity. It buys the small thing, within days, so the work keeps moving.

Structure

How it's built

A named person, not an organization

The fund is run by Aryeh Lev Mason, working directly with soldiers in the Israeli units it serves. Advisors will be named here as the fund grows.

Almost nothing spent on itself

There is no staff and no office, and nobody is paid to fundraise. Donations sit in a dedicated bank account, and the card-processing fee is the only cost taken out; the rest goes to purchases.

Registration is in progress

The fund is being set up as a registered nonprofit. Until that completes, donations are personal gifts and are not tax-deductible anywhere. Any change will be announced here first.

Accountable, within security limits

The fund keeps receipts and records for everything it buys, publishes its costs, and shares what it can about where the money went. Unit names, base locations, soldiers' identities, and open equipment gaps never appear on this site.
